
Mini Tennis - Ages 4 to 12
Mini Tennis Red
For players aged 8 & under. A red ball is used which is 75% slower than a yellow ball. Mini Red court dimensions are 11m x 5.5m or 12m x 6m with the net at a height of 80cm (in the middle). Players use a shorter racket of 43cm – 58 cm (17” – 23”), recommended depending on the size and strength of the player.
Sessions:
Tuesdays (1 group) - 4pm-5pm
Wednesdays (1 group) - 4pm-5pm
Thursday (1 group) - 4pm-5pm
Fridays (3 groups) - 4pm-5pm (2 groups) & 5pm-6pm (1 group)
Saturdays (2 groups) - 9am-10am & 12noon-1pm
Sundays (3 groups) - 10am-11am, 10.30am-11.30am, 11.30am-12.30pm
Mini Tennis Orange
For players aged 8-10. An orange ball is used which is 50% slower than a yellow ball. Mini Orange court dimensions are 18m x 6.5m with the net at a height of 80cm (in the middle). A racket of 58cm – 63 cm (23” – 25”) should be used depending on the size and strength of the player.
Sessions:
Tuesdays (1 group) - 5pm-6pm
Wednesdays (1 group) - 5pm-6pm
Thursday (1 group) - 5pm-6pm
Fridays (2 groups) - 5pm-6pm, 6pm-7pm
Saturdays (2 groups) - 10am-11am & 1pm-2pm
Sundays (2 groups) - 9am-10am & 9.30am-10.30am
Mini Green Tennis
For players aged 10-12. A green ball is used, which is 25% slower than a yellow ball. Mini Green is played on a normal size court. Doubles matches should also be played on a normal size court with singles sticks in place with the net at full height. A bigger racket of 63cm – 66cm (25” – 26”) should be used but not compulsory; this is always dependent on the size and strength of the player.

Sundays (1 group) - 4.30pm-5.30pm
